About Event

At She’s Independent, we gather weekly to connect around the real work of investing; reviewing companies, asking questions, and stepping into discernment together. These weekly investment calls are a core part of how we steward capital thoughtfully and intentionally, and they are typically reserved for our member community.

Once a month, we pause the deal flow to go deeper in our Special Topics sessions. They're designed to build investor fluency. This month, we’re opening that conversation beyond our member community.

Join us for Investor Accounting (Advanced) to step up your agency with respect to your check writing, accounting, portfolio, and tax / cash flow planning! If you missed the first session where we covered Investor Accounting (Basics) you can watch the recording on our YouTube here.

Too often, accounting and tax mechanics are framed as intimidating or opaque; something you might expect to “figure out later.” We believe clarity changes everything. When you understand the structures, timelines, and tradeoffs, you can make decisions from a place of intention rather than reaction.

In this session we’ll explore:

  • Strategic private investor accounting concepts from QSBS to 83(bs)

  • Investing from retirement accounts, trusts, and as an individual vs an LLC investment entity

  • and more...

For those joining us outside the She’s Independent community, WELCOME. You’re stepping into a space that plays a meaningful role in how we approach investing, learning, and collective decision-making. We’re glad to share the conversation and the perspective. We don't require any baseline knowledge or expertise and all are welcome.

For our members, this session continues the through line we return to often: investing is not just about allocation; it’s about understanding, agency, and showing up fully in relationship with money.

At She's Independent, we make investing work better, for more people.
