Zero to Coder: AI-Powered Coding Workshop

​A workshop for coding beginners to become proficient with AI tools in one afternoon.

​By the end, you'll be able to:

​a) Host your own website
b) Manage your own database and AI assistant
c) Analyse data and produce beautiful charts

​AI is a tool - this workshop is about learning to get the most out of it. That means using it to solve more problems than it creates.

​The workshop is led by me, Jethro Reeve. I started using AI to code in October 2023, building tools for campaignlab.uk. I'm now a full-time software developer at coefficient.ai.

​Before you come 👇

• ​Check you can access:

  • ​lovable.dev or Bolt.new

• ​Create a free acount on:

  • ​github.com

  • ​vercel.com (Use your Github login!)

• ​Install:

  • ​cursor.com

  • ​Node.js (Windows only)

  • ​git (Windows only)

• ​Open Cursor and ask the agent:

  • ​"(Mac) Install Homebrew, Node.js and git on my system...

  • ​"(Windows) Confirm my node and git installation...

  • ​...then authenticate my GitHub account through CLI web browser login"

​You'll move faster in the workshop if you arrive with setup already done! It takes a few minutes and gets you straight to the vibe :)

​Important: Update your laptop and make sure you have space for installations first. Old MacOS versions often take forever then fail at the end!
