Sand (abatement) Party!

​We need folks who are willing to sweep, shovel and blow sand off some of the remaining parts of the Great Highway as we prep for the final round of murals. Many hands make light work and all tools, and supplies will be provided. Feel free to come on a bike, we'll move quicker up and down the Park that way! Even if you can't stay for the duration, any amount of time you can join would be helpful, even if it's just your lunch break. Thank you!

​Sites we'll need help with moving sand:
- Lincoln (both city side and ocean side lanes)
- Lawton
- Noriega
- Taraval
- Vicente

​*we will not be using dump trucks

​​​​What to Bring and Wear:

• ​​​​Water bottle. 

• ​​​​All necessary tools (blowers, shovels and brooms), etc. Bring your own gloves if you have a pair you like. 

• ​​​​Wear comfortable work clothes, long pants, and sturdy shoes or boots (NO shorts, flip flops, heels, or sandals).

• ​​​​Please be prepared to get dirty and dress in layers for various weather conditions.

• ​​​​Bring a hat and wear sunscreen.

• ​​​​Participants/guardians will be required to sign a waiver from Friends of Ocean Beach Park (online).
