Socrates on the Farm: A Sophos Society Dinner
Join us for our most expansive gathering yet: an intimate, flower-strewn dinner party hosted at Little City Farm in Los Angeles. We’ll gather at four candlelit communal tables for a nourishing, seasonal private chef meal by Chef Ty, fresh flower tablescapes by Fleurvoyant, flowing natural wine (or a non-alcoholic pairing), and an energizing conversation at the intersection of technology and humanity.
This evening’s theme: AI & the Future of Being Human.
Artificial intelligence is reshaping the world from creativity to communication, labor to love. Together, we’ll explore what it means to stay rooted in our values and our humanity amidst this unfolding shift. What does it mean to be human in the age of AI? How do we preserve presence, ritual, and beauty when machines are learning to mimic the very things that make us human?
🗓 September 20th
Doors open at 5:30pm.
Opening ceremony begins at 6:30pm
Please note:
Sophos Society is a space for intentional, respectful dialogue. We ask that all guests uphold the following:
– One person speaks at a time
– Avoid tangents or monologues
– Keep conversation curious, not combative
– We honor complexity but aim to steer away from overly political debate
Bring your presence, your curiosity, and your full aliveness.
