Proactive or Reactive Security? How to shift away from Incident-Driven Design

​Plenty of security programs get built one incident at a time. This session is about designing for the threats before they arrive.

​Barbara Teruggi, Security Architect at Allianz Technology, draws on nearly two decades in finance and insurance to show what proactive security looks like in practice: how to spot the patterns that lead to incident-driven design, where threat modeling and secure defaults pay off earliest, and how to build the case for prevention when the pressure is to just ship. Expect a practical, architecture-level view from someone who has worked across development, DevOps, and security.
