Vention Unplugged: Betting the company on AI - smart strategy or dangerous gamble?
Join us on Thursday, 26th February 2026 for an in-person event hosted by Vention in central London, designed for technology executives, innovators, and decision-makers seeking to better understand the strategic, technical, and organisational implications of “AI-first” business models.
Through networking and a balanced panel discussion, we will unpack both the promise and the pitfalls of AI-first strategies - offering diverse perspectives from leaders who have implemented, advised on, or critically examined the approach.
Rather than a debate, this session invites an open exchange of viewpoints - from strong advocates to cautious observers - to help attendees assess whether, when, and how an AI-first mindset fits their own organisational context.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Glyn Roberts, CTO of Digital Solutions at Vention and our guest speakers for the event include Shahzia Holtom, PhD – CTO and Co-founder of ePluribus Health (ex-Microsoft Senior Director AI Transformation & Technical Excellence), David Whitney, Director of Architecture at NewDay, bestselling author, and seasoned speaker and Swapna Alladi - Head of Platforms at Allica Bank recognised as “Engineer of the Year” at the Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2024, Google Women Techmakers Ambassador and industry speaker.
