About Event

Earlier this month, a 9.2/10 vulnerability was discovered in Sungrow's cloud platform. While most cloud breaches mean data leaks or credentials traded on forums, this one had direct physical implications: it exposed roughly 18GW of solar capacity to potential disruption.

That is more than the total solar capacity installed in Belgium, and roughly 6x the sudden power loss the European synchronous grid is designed to withstand.

In this informal teardown session hosted by Powernaut, Marlon Starkloff, the researcher who uncovered the flaw, joins us to walk through the discovery and discuss the systemic security gaps facing distributed energy resources.
