6-Month Mentorship | Rolling Intake
We are really excited to open up applications for our six-month, one-to-one mentorship programme. This is a space designed entirely around you and your practice- giving you the dedicated time, physical insight, and conceptual room to deepen your artwork, experiment freely with materials, and build a professional presence that feels entirely authentic to who you are.
A quick note on scheduling: Luma requires us to put a calendar date on this page, so please ignore the December date listed above! Because this is a fully customized 1-to-1 mentorship, your actual six-month timeline will begin completely on your own schedule once your application is approved.
Because this is intensive, high-touch 1-to-1 work, we operate on a rolling intake. This means you can choose a start date that aligns naturally with your own schedule, but we can only take on three artists at any given time to ensure we give everyone our full energy.
How the application process works:
Request to Join: Click the button above and answer our brief screening questions so we can learn a little bit about your practice.
Chat & Review: We review all requests within 3 days just to make sure the programme is a perfect match for what you want to achieve right now.
Secure Your Slot: Once approved, we will send you an invite link to book your slot. We hold approved spots for 7 days before passing them to the next artist on our waiting list.
Session 1 (60 mins): Reconnecting with your practice – Understanding what you make and why it matters to you. (Tutor: Martha Lamont)
Session 2 (90 mins): Materials and play- We’ll explore how 2-4 relevant contemporary artists use materials and colour. Martha will share practical demonstrations on material and a colour-mixing masterclass to build your confidence in both. (Tutor: Martha Lamont)
Session 3 (60 mins): Pushing boundaries – Finding ways to go deeper and challenge yourself. (Tutor: Martha Lamont)
Session 4 (60 mins): Check-in – Reflecting on what’s working, what isn’t, and what we can learn from it. (Tutor: Martha Lamont)
Month 5 (90 mins with Dan): The Artist Voice & Writing Lab - A dedicated 1.5-hour workshop to strip away art-world jargon and draft an authentic artist statement or proposal.
Session 6 (60 mins): Bringing it together - Consolidating your progress and creating a clear path forward. (Tutor: Martha Lamont)
Throughout the six months, we will use a shared living document alongside Padlet- a dedicated visual platform where we can share, organize, and discuss images of your artwork. Together, these tools serve as a permanent, interactive archive of your insights, resources, and progress to keep long after you finish.
Payment Options
To keep things simple and accessible, we offer an interest-free payment plan. No fees are charged until your application is formally accepted.
The Plan: £100 deposit + £80 per month for 6 months.
(Once approved, you'll use the code PAYMENTPLAN at checkout to reserve your slot for the initial £100).
