Claude for Credit Risk Engine Workshop
What this workshop covers
This is a 1-hour hands-on session showing private credit investors, direct lenders, and credit funds how to underwrite a new facility and watch every covenant in the book, using Claude AI agents inside Claude Cowork.
We walk you through a production-ready multi-agent workflow of 45 agents across 7 seats that takes a borrower package and produces a full credit case: screen, quality of earnings, capital structure, covenant grid, downside, recovery, and ongoing monitoring, so by the end of the session you can underwrite faster and watch every covenant without rebuilding the analysis per deal.
Limited slots available. First come, first served.
Section 1: Running the Full Credit Workflow
How to have Claude run the entire engine in one sequence. A Credit Captain sets run order and holds the root files. Screen sizes up the borrower, sector, sponsor, and mandate fit. Numbers rebuilds adjusted EBITDA, free cash flow, and net leverage from the borrower's own books. Structure maps the capital stack, tests debt capacity, and prices the facility. Covenants extracts every definition from the credit agreement, computes headroom, and monitors drift. Downside runs the base, downside, rate-shock, refi-wall, and covenant break points. Recovery values the collateral, walks the enforcement path, and computes loss given default. Monitor ingests the reporting pack, triggers the watch list, and updates the credit memo. The run ends at the Covenant Watch Dog, which ties every figure back to the agreement, and an Adversarial Pass on a different model attacks the case before the Human owns the credit decision line by line.
Section 2: Turning the Workflow into a Reusable Skill
How to capture the run order as a Claude skill so it executes the same way for every borrower. We build the skill that encodes all 45 agents across the 7 seats, the addback rules, the covenant computation logic, and the recovery waterfall, so underwriting becomes a single instruction rather than a sequence you rebuild per deal.
Section 3: Root Files and Workspace Configuration
How the files driving the workflow actually work: the workspace identity and house rules, the skill file for the credit engine, the editable criteria that hold your leverage caps, coverage floors, addback rules, and recovery assumptions so your team can tune them without touching code, and the agent files behind all 45 seats across Screen, Numbers, Structure, Covenants, Downside, Recovery, and Monitor. Configure these once and every credit you run gets underwritten, stress-tested, and monitored against the same standard.
Section 4: The Scheduling Prompt
How to run the Monitor seat as an always-on covenant watch. Configure Claude to ingest each borrower's reporting pack on a schedule, recompute covenants, flag drift, trigger the watch list, and update the credit memo, so covenant breaches surface the day the numbers move rather than at the next quarterly review.
