Photography Is… Meeting Yourself - From Lens to Self Festival 2026
What if meeting yourself began with looking at what you choose to photograph?
The images you make over time can form a kind of indirect portrait: they show what draws your attention, the places you return to, the people you notice and the memories you choose to keep.
In this workshop, you will turn your attention to your photographs to explore identity, values, needs and choices.
Through exercises and guided questions, you will notice recurring themes, absences and preferences, considering what they say about the way you see the world today. This does not necessarily mean making a self-portrait: the starting point is the person looking through the camera.
