About Event

Join Rip Space and Supercollider for the opening celebration of Wake Me Up Inside, a hybrid exhibition and public program exploring platform culture, digital dependency, networked identity, and speculative post-web futures.

The evening marks the opening of a month-long exhibition and public program featuring works by Nat Decker, Devin Wilson, Ina Chen, Naomi Sam, Filip Kostic, American Artist, Wednesday Kim, and Lou Fauroux.

Bringing together works across sculpture, video, installation, gaming environments, and decentralized technologies, the exhibition reflects on the emotional and infrastructural conditions of life lived through platforms and computational systems. Borrowing its title from the chorus of Evanescence’s 2003 anthem “Bring Me to Life,” Wake Me Up Inside moves between critiques of platform exhaustion and speculative visions of alternative technological worlds built through local networks, autonomous infrastructures, and artist-led systems of exchange and connection.

We invite our community, collaborators, artists, technologists, and friends to gather, connect, and celebrate the opening of the exhibition together.

Curated by Vera Petukhova, with exhibition design by Naomi Sam. Organized in collaboration with support from Isabel Beavers and Supercollider.

An accompanying workshop and public program series organized by Maisa Imamović will be announced soon! :)
