From Lab to Launch: Commercializing Your Research
From Lab to Launch: Commercializing Your Research
Join the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship and CTTEC for an informal lunch for School of Computer Science faculty, Ph.D. students, and postdoctoral fellows where we demystify the path from academic innovation to commercial impact.
Why Attend?
Hear from Craig Markovitz, Director of the Swartz Center Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Mentor Program and former President and CEO of Blue Belt Technologies. Blue Belt was CMU's first spin off company to secure FDA clearance and sell a medical robotics technology in the market. The company's handheld, bone cutting robotic handpiece was based on technology licensed from Robotics Institute. Craig will provide an overview of the company's 13-year commercialization journey and answer your questions related to deep tech commercialization.
Meet and network with our deep tech faculty focused Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, CTTEC, and Swartz Center staff.
Learn about Swartz Center and CTTEC resources dedicated to faculty research founders.
