​Industrial objects as an art pieces that stays useful. Worn, used, lived with, looked at. Design arte A year of Pray Boi, translated into objects, products, sculptures. First time the whole body of work in one single room. Nothing here is finished. Every piece is one step in a longer journey, and I’m showing all of it, what landed and what didn’t. That’s why it’s an experiment. Come see them in action. For the first time in the world, in Korea, Seoul.

​'Design Arte' : 실용성을 간직한 아트 피스. 일상에서 사용되고, 닳고, 함께하며, 감상의 대상이 되는 사물들. 지난 1년간 Pray Boi를 중심으로 전개해 온 오브제, 제품, 조각들은 처음으로 한 공간 아래에 모였습니다. 각 작업은 완성이라기보다, 더 거시적인 과정에서의 한 단계가 됩니다. 이번 팝업 전시에서는 그간의 결과와 이에 대한 시행착오를 모두 담았고, 이것이 팝업을 하나의 실험이라고 부르는 이유입니다.

​Lucius Ha is a Korean-Australian designer based in Melbourne. Under bluugu, he works to a design method/philosophy he calls Design Arte - industrial objects as art piece that stay useful. The practice centres on Pray Boi, a character he carries across footwear, wearables and objects, seeing how far one figure can go in physical form.

​Lucius Ha는 멜버른을 기반으로 한 한국계 호주 아티스트입니다. BLUUGU(@bluugu) 라는 이름으로, 그의 작업은 산업적 오브제들을 실용성이라는 본질을 유지하며 아트 피스로도 작용할 수 있다는 디자인 철학이자 방법론인, ‘Design Arte‘ 를 바탕으로 전개됩니다. 그의 작업은 Pray Boi 라는 캐릭터를 중심으로 펼쳐져, 풋웨어와 웨어러블 피스, 다양한 오브제로 캐릭터가 확장되고, 하나의 형상이 물리적 형태로 구현될 수 있는 가능성과 그 범위를 탐구합니다.
