Soft Figures: Baybayin Calligraphy & Cyanotype Printing with Niko Klasiko (Session 2)

​Join us at No Strangers for a two-part workshop showcasing both Baybayin and Cyanotype printing hosted by @niko.klasiko!

​Baybayin is one of over 20 pre-colonial scripts written in the Philippines prior to the arrival of the Spanish in the late 1500s. It’s characterized by flowing shapes, vowel-based syllables and is a reclamation of artistic traditions in the Filipino diaspora.

​Cyanotype printing is one of the oldest photographic processes in history and through this workshop you will be taking home prints of your own! We will be using UV Light to print our images, so feel free to bring any negatives, or use our flowers and miscellaneous objects to compose your piece.

This workshop will combine both art forms and dive deeper on the history of baybayin and cyanotype. Steep in culture and create your own prints with us!

All materials and light refreshments are included. :)

No Strangers is run by one person (hi, I'm Viv!) which means every dollar goes towards operational costs to keep the studio afloat. As a result, all ticket sales are final and cannot be refunded. Please purchase mindfully!
