About Event

Discover how artificial intelligence is shaping Europe’s future at the Amsterdam Policy Prize 2026! This event invites students to explore the opportunities and challenges of AI, from human-centered security to competition law.

This event takes place over two dates: the first day introduces the topic and serves as the starting point for drafting your policy solution. After the introduction, your group gets two weeks to collaborate and refine your ideas before the competition day, when you’ll pitch your policy memos and a winner will be chosen.

During the introduction event, teams will be formed. Don’t worry if you don’t have teammates: everyone will have the opportunity to join or create a group. Teams can consist of 1 to 4 participants. This event is open to all students, from first-year bachelor's to master’s students.

📅 Dates:
Introduction event – 18:15-21:30, February 18, 2026
Competition day – 11:00-16:00, March 7, 2026

📍 Location:
Introduction event - TBA
Competition day - Allard Pierson Museum

Join engaging seminars with expert guest speakers, receive personal guidance on policy writing, and learn how to pitch a policy proposal. Compete, present your ideas, and stand a chance to win prizes while gaining valuable insights into AI governance, legal frameworks, and innovation strategies.

Why attend? Enhance your knowledge of AI policy, connect with peers, and experience the excitement of a policy competition. All participants will be given a certificate, and professional pictures will be taken during the event. Winners will receive additional prizes, such as a publication in European Horizons' AREA Journal.
