​Hosted by contributors from Nethermind, Aleo, zkVerify, the Ethereum Privacy & Scaling Explorations (PSE), and Stakesaurus.

​Join us to brainstorm how we can generate new and sustained demand for ZK talent in Malaysia.

​Motivation

​The impetus of this initiative is because we feel that Ethereum has been losing "builder" mindshare to newer ecosystems (e.g. Solana, Sui, Ton) in Asia because of their aggressive and consolidated builder-centric programmes—e.g., Solana Superteam—and this "brain drain" will continue/accelerate if we do not come together as an ecosystem to emulate similar amounts of consolidated builder support.

​Instead of being centrally consolidated with the Foundation, value on Ethereum has dissolved across the ecosystem over time, giving rise to hugely successful projects across varying verticals.

​Hence we propose to bring together Ethereum projects to emulate “Superteam” for ourselves.

​The goals can be distilled into:

​1) Rally the existing talent

​2) Motivate & incentivise them to do more—e.g., "build" more with more support

​3) Grow the talent pool

​Why ZK in 2025?

​1) ZK is a key driver of the ETH roadmap

​2) Malaysia has a pretty good ZK talent base

​3) Several ZK projects and local venue providers have indicated interest to support an initiative like this

​What we hope to achieve:

​1) Sharing the vision and invite existing ZK enthusiasts to contribute

​2) Bring together existing ZK builders to start working on new projects by tapping into active grant programmes

​3) Show ZK projects that Malaysia is a market they should pay more attention to
