September Meetup: Modern Java Concurrency
📢 Announcing the Tamilnadu JUG Faculty Enablement Series on Modern Java!
One challenge we consistently observe while conducting #Java meetups in engineering colleges is that many faculty members are still teaching Java using approaches that were relevant a decade ago.
While the fundamentals remain important, the Java ecosystem has evolved significantly. Modern Java brings new language features, concurrency models, JVM capabilities, performance improvements, and best practices that educators should be familiar with to prepare students for today’s technology landscape.
To help bridge this gap, Tamilnadu JUG is launching a Faculty Enablement Series on Modern Java.
Our goal is simple:
To equip professors with practical knowledge of modern Java so they can confidently bring these concepts into their classrooms and, in turn, build stronger Java communities within their institutions.
We are excited to kick off the series with:

🎙️ A N M "Bazlur" Rahman
Java Champion | Java Educator | Organizer, Bangladesh Java User Group
A big thank you to Bazlur for supporting this initiative. His work in helping developers understand and adopt modern Java practices has been truly valuable, and we are grateful for his willingness to share his expertise with educators.
This is more than a lecture series.
It is an effort to enable educators, modernize Java learning, and strengthen the next generation of Java developers.☕
