Sunset Hike — Tajo Negro & Cruz de Juanar 🌅🏔️
On Sunday, May 24, we're heading up into the mountains above Marbella for a Sunset Community Hike at Refugio de Juanar 🌅🏔️
This is not your typical evening walk. We start at 17:30, climbing through forest and rocky peaks as the day slowly shifts into golden hour.
This one is for those who want something a bit different, for those who are curious about adventure, and for anyone who hasn't experienced a sunset hike yet.
We'll move through the circular trail from Refugio de Juanar, passing multiple viewpoints (Mirador del Corzo, Pico del Tajo Negro, Mirador del Macho Montes) all the way up to Cruz de Juanar, the highest point of the route.
We'll move together, take in the views, pause along the way and time it perfectly to catch the sunset from the top 🌄

🕠 Start time: 17:30 (please arrive 5 minutes early)
📍 Location: Refugio de Juanar, Ojén (Marbella)
🚗 Carpooling: We'll organise for those who need it
🥾 Difficulty level: Hard — steep climbs and loose rocks. Good hiking shoes are a must.
📏 Distance: 8.4km circular
⏱️ Duration: Approximately 3–4 hours including breaks
🌅 Sunset: 21:30, we'll time it from the top
