Private Investor Salon (NYC) – Where Capital Meets Boutique Hospitality: Women Building Global Culture and Ownership
BH&IA Private Investor Salon hosted at Chief's New York City Clubhouse
Hosted by the Black Hoteliers & Investors Association, this private investor salon convenes a curated gathering of hospitality investors, operators, developers, and industry leaders to explore independent and boutique hotels as a growing global asset class.
Held during Women’s History Month, the evening brings together family office principals, investment firm leaders, real estate investors, boutique hotel owners, and C-suite executives for a focused conversation on ownership, capital strategy, and cross-border hospitality development.
The salon will feature insights from hospitality entrepreneurs Michelle Ifill Jenkins, founder of La Maison Michelle, and Kirstyn Scott, founder of Favara, who will share perspectives on developing and operating boutique hospitality ventures across global markets—from Barbados to Marrakesh.
Refreshments will be provided.
Rather than a traditional panel, the evening is structured as a private investor conversation designed to foster proximity between capital and operators while surfacing opportunities in hospitality development, strategic partnerships, and experiential travel platforms.
Following the salon discussion, guests will join a reception designed to encourage meaningful connections among investors, founders, and executives across the hospitality ecosystem.
Hosted at Chief’s New York Clubhouse, a members-only gathering space, the event is intentionally limited to maintain a high-signal environment for thoughtful dialogue and curated introductions.
**50% of ticket proceeds support BH&IA’s Hoteliers Grant Fund & Program, advancing capital access and development pathways for emerging hotel owners.
Presented with support from BH&IA’s 501(c)(3) Charitable Fiscal Sponsor, Financial Empowerment Movement, Inc.
This salon reflects BH&IA’s role as a global ecosystem builder—convening the capital partners and operators shaping the next generation of independent hotels worldwide.
All are welcome.
