About

Weaving Futures is a temporary open-air prayer space created by Muslim women through collective acts of making, prayer, and remembrance.

Over four community workshops, participants gathered to write du'as onto clay tiles, braid rope, weave leather, embroider mirrors, and share tea while engaging in dhikr (the remembrance of Allah). Rather than simply making objects, each element was created while remembering Allah, carrying the prayers, intentions, and care of the women who made it.

Together, these individually crafted objects become a shared place of prayer, creating the conditions for khushūʿ - presence, humility, and attentiveness in prayer.

Join us as we gather for the first prayer in the completed space, followed by tea, a community picnic, and optional henna.
