About Event

Ocean waves and currents are tremendous sources of energy that can improve energy security and reliability while also benefitting the ocean environment. To advance marine energy responsibly, we must understand how marine fauna and ocean ecosystems will interact with marine energy conversion devices in the water.

This event is a behind the scenes lab tour and presentation by some of the world's leading experts on environmental monitoring of marine energy. We will showcase leading-edge monitoring technologies, like an integrated instrumentation system that captured footage of fish, birds, and marine mammals near a small tidal turbine tested in Sequim Bay, WA.

Due to event space limitations, we will begin to approve public registrations on a first come first served basis October 10th.

By registering for this event, you agree to share your registration information with the organizers of One Ocean Week Seattle (OOWS), receive communications about OOWS, and acknowledge that photos/videos may be taken for promotional use.
