City in Resistance Closing Ritual and Party

​6:00PM: “Sweetness and Strength” 🔥🌬️⛰️💧An intentional movement-based ritual to recognize the Earth's innate regenerative powers amidst humanity's disconnected tampering (ie, building structures of oppression and incarceration, capitalist exploitation, etc). 🌱What seeds do we want to sow and tend? 🤲🏽The ritual will be followed by a sunset processional and public art offering to the MegaJail construction site that sits behind City in Resistance. We are delighted to invite you to share time and space with Maya-K'iche' elder and spiritual and therapeutic healer Carmen Alvarez Medrano. She’s coming from Guatemala 🇬🇹 to lead us in practical and spiritual ritual and ceremony this week. Spanish/English interpretation available.
