Autumn Book Swap with Tea tasting at Desirelines

​Some things hit the spot every fall: spotting the color-changing leaves of a walnut tree, cupping a warm mug in your hands, sinking into a soft blanket. To kick off sweater weather season, join Späti Stories, Eduard/ tea and desirelines books for another edition of our community book swap, as we say goodbye to another splashy Berlin summer and to our späti meetup season.

Eduard/ tea has been founded in Berlin in December 2025 by Eduardo Molina, a tea sommerlier with almost 20 years of experience working with tea. He's travelled to 108 countries and visited tea regions on all five continents. For him, tea has always been more than a drink: it's a window through which one can view the world, just as books.

Eduardo will be at the book swap to swap a book, but also to own a tea corner kindly brewing tea for the community - his courtesy. He will bring a special autumn blend for tasting.

​How the Book Swap Works

Bring a book you think of as a great autumn read (think cozy, whatever that means to you), one you enjoyed and would be excited to share with your nook mates. Write a short note on why you brought it, and take home something new for the cozy months ahead. Grab yourself a tea.

After the swap, browse desirelines' curated shelves and dig into more of our community's recommendations.

​⚠️ Important details:

• ​Arrive on time: we start at 6:45 PM sharp.

• ​Tickets: 5 EUR pp

• ​Cancellations: Please cancel at least 48 hours in advance to get a refund.

• ​Snacks and drinks: We'll provide a few snacks and have Eduard/ tea for tasting. A limited amount of alcoholic beverages will be available. Water will be available throughout the whole evening.

• ​Support the shop: desirelines books is an independent bookshop run by the great duo Iti and Julia and they are very kindly offering us the space. If you can, buy a book or add one to your list for a future visit.

• ​Photos: We'll take a few photos and videos. Let us know when you arrive if you'd prefer to opt out.

​How the evening goes:

• ​6:45 to 7 PM: Arrive and grab a seat and a tea

• ​7 to 7:15 PM: Write a note for the next reader, in your book or on a separate piece of paper

• ​7:15 to 8:15 PM: The swap

• ​From 8:15 PM: Mingling, free swapping, and browsing the shelves
