Much to do with Law, but more to do with Love | Theatre Excursion + Drama Club
Hey friend, you're invited to join No Drama Drama Club. This is a group for folks who love seeing theatre together and yapping about it afterwards—plus, to keep our community safe it's a mask-required event. Think of this like a book club, but for theatre!
Whether you see every show in the city or haven't seen one before—we'd love to have you along. We'll take care of buying your tickets so you can just book with us and show up.
This event is hosted on the unceded land of the Kulin nations. We pay our respects to their elders past and present. If you’re a settler like us, you should be paying the rent.
P.S. This event is 18+ :)
📢 About the show
Much to do with Law, but more to do with Love runs for 60 minutes and is a new play from lawyer/performance-maker Danish Sheikh that explores how legal systems clash with queer lives.
The team on this one is super exciting (directed by Vidya Rajan who did one of Ryan's fave shows of 2025: Crisis Actor) and in 2025 the script won the Queer Playwriting Award. The show is kind of like a lecture turned into an experimental theatre performance, with real text, real reflections, and some Taylor Swift too.

First takes — We’ll all share a star rating to the show and jot down some initial thoughts

Second takes — We’ll write & share our own mini reviews with amended star ratings (or maybe no rating, if that’s how you roll)
