About Event

Hey all, I'm bringing my discussion group (SF Intellectuals) to The Commons. Commons members and +1s are invited to join us. Will shoot for around 15 people with a 50-50 mix. :)

Come discuss deep topics in the company of warm, insightful people. Many of us are regulars, but newcomers are wanted and welcome.

We'll vote on which 2 topics we would like to talk about, then have a moderated discussion ensuring everyone has the option to participate.

Past discussions have covered questions like:

Is loneliness one of the biggest problems facing society?
Advances in AI indicate that most jobs will become automated in the future. What will humans do in that world, and how would they define their sense of accomplishment?
Religion has been surprisingly enduring despite the advances of science. Why?
