About Event

Recently reauthorized through FY2031, the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs provide funding opportunities and commercialization resources that early-stage biotech researchers can use to fuel their project development.

Dr. Xing-Jian Lou, NCI SBIR Program Director, will provide a detailed overview on the program as well as highlights from reauthorization, including the new Strategic Breakthrough Award funding mechanism that provides larger, milestone-driven awards focused on technology implementation.

Additional topics to be covered include:

  • Recent NCI SBIR/STTR program updates

  • New and current funding opportunities

  • Application tips and suggestions

  • Commercialization resources for applicants and awardees

Following the presentation, selected attendees will have a chance to meet one-on-one in person with Dr. Lou to discuss their cancer technology project and funding eligibility.

This presentation is appropriate for biotech researchers who are interested in advancing their life-changing innovations from lab to market.
