The Experience
Join us for a slow, creative afternoon exploring the delicate art of bottle decoration with drawing, painting, and gold leaf.
Guided by artist Arnold d'Alger, you’ll learn how to transform a simple glass bottle into a unique decorative object using traditional gilding techniques and your own hand-drawn design.
This workshop is designed to feel relaxed, inspiring, and tactile—an opportunity to step away from screens, experiment with beautiful materials, and leave with something you created yourself.
Whether you’re an artist, a curious beginner, or simply looking for a creative experience in Paris, this workshop offers a warm and welcoming space to explore decorative art.
What You’ll Do
The workshop unfolds in three stages:
✏️ Design Your Decorative Motif
We begin with a guided drawing session where you'll create your own motif inspired by floral forms, sun, and light. This sketch will become the foundation for your bottle decoration.
✨ Discover Gold Leaf Techniques
Arnold will demonstrate the process of traditional gilding, introducing the tools and materials used to apply delicate gold leaf.
🎨 Decorate Your Bottle
You’ll then decorate your own glass bottle using gold leaf, pigments, and brushes, bringing your design to life and creating a one-of-a-kind decorative piece.
☕ Tea and light snacks will be served, creating a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the creative process and connect with others.
At the end of the workshop you will leave with you own hand-decorated bottle, created through a combination of drawing, painting and gilding techniques.
