In Real-Life Watch Party
Similar to the virtual version but in real-life (IRL) and instead of an initial topic, we will watch a short video presentation about software development then discuss the ideas in the video.
What presentation will be shown? That is a closely guarded secret that will be revealed at the watch party. A hint? OK, it is a recent presentation about AI from a renowned researcher from the U of A.
Everyone and anyone are welcome to join as long as you are kind, supportive, and respectful of others.

The video we watched was:
The Era of Experience & The Age of Design: Richard S. Sutton, Upper Bound 2025
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLOL2f4iHKA
The video prompted discussions about how coding agents have improved over the past couple years, how will LLMs continue to learn now that they have consumed the entire Internet, and an extensional discussion of what is intelligence. Turns out intelligence is really hard to define and everyone has different thoughts on what makes something intelligent.
