In 2019, Michael Chime, Dylan Gleicher and Neal Soni were Yale undergrads when they founded Prepared, driven by growing up near devastating school shootings. What began as a simple mobile alert system for schools became something far bigger: an AI platform modernizing 911 emergency response across the country. Michael took the Thiel Fellowship and the three co-founders dropped out and never looked back. M13 wrote the first institutional check in 2020. In 2025, Axon acquired the company.
