Get ready for the holidays with native plant wreaths and table centerpieces - A hands-on, how-to workshop for adults and kids
Did you know that our local native plants make stunning holiday wreaths, garlands, and table centerpieces? Come over next Sunday morning to learn how easy it is to weave fragrant branches of toyon, ceanothus, lemonadeberry, and other California native shrubs into festive creations for your house.
We will start by gathering the plant material from our abundant native garden — a great opportunity to talk about correct pruning techniques and other winter chores for the native garden.
We will brew the coffee and the hot chocolate, but your home-baked treats will be enthusiastically welcomed.
Lots to learn for adults, yes, but kids will really enjoy making the wreaths and the menorahs. Please note: Free for kids under 5.
Optional supplies to bring: wire hangers, newspapers, roll of wire, wooden clothespins, hat pins, new and used ribbons, and anything else you want to incorporate….
RSVP soon, as tickets are limited.
Looking so forward to a fun and creative morning next Sunday, December 8th!
Best,
Elaine + Plant Native Laurel Canyon Team!
