Make, Listen & Connect: Upcycle Fashion Workshops + DJ Set in East London

Threading Change is excited to join Alterist Marketplace, designer Olli Hull, and Netil Radio for an afternoon that brings together fashion, creativity, music, and community at the Alterist Concept Store.
As part of the event, Threading Change will be hosting our Community Quilt, a travelling collaborative artwork exploring what a more sustainable and equitable fashion future could look like.
Contribute to the Threading Change Community Quilt — FREE, 12–7pm
Drop in throughout the afternoon and evening to create your own quilt square using reclaimed textiles. Paint, stitch, patch, and get creative while sharing your ideas, hopes, and visions for the future of fashion.
Every square becomes part of a growing collective artwork, bringing together the voices and creativity of people across different communities and cities. No previous sewing or creative experience is needed — just come as you are and add your perspective.
Alongside the Community Quilt, join designer Olli Hull for a ticketed three-hour upcycling workshop between 3-6pm, where you’ll transform a T-shirt into a one-of-a-kind piece, while Netil Radio DJs provide the soundtrack with an eclectic mix of soul, jazz, funk, house and global sounds.
Whether you’re here to make, listen, browse, connect or simply enjoy the afternoon, come spend a few hours with us exploring how fashion can be a space for creativity, community and change.
