Independent Living Skills
Join us for fun, interactive independent living skills sessions designed to help visually impaired young people build confidence and develop key elements to grow in confidence and learn practical skills for everyday life. From managing daily tasks to building personal independence, these sessions offer helpful tools, tips, and conversations that support you in taking greater control of your world. Each session bringing something new, empowering, engaging, and tailored to your journey.

Daily Living Skills
• Organising your space when you can’t see it clearly – strategies like labelling systems, tactile markers, and spatial memory.
• Cooking safely and independently – knife safety, identifying food items, measuring ingredients non-visually, using talking kitchen gadgets.
• Laundry and clothing management – matching outfits, using braille or tactile tags, colour identifiers, folding systems.
• Personal hygiene & grooming tips – accessible makeup tools, shaving safety, skincare organization, oral care with limited sight.
