Intention: Bring community weavers together to meet and exchange best practice
Food & drinks: We invite you all to co-create this brunch and to bring some food or drinks to share. There is a beautiful open kitchen, in case you want to prepare something there. Quite a few people are vegetarians, so vegetarian options are preferable. To make sure we all don’t bring the same things, please write here what you’re planning to bring.
Agenda
10:00-10:15: People arrive and we co-create the brunch together.
10:15-10h45: Opening circle to welcome everyone and walk through today’s activity.
10:45 - 12:15: Time to enjoy some great food and conversation as we go into several rounds of small groups to get to know each other and share practices around Community Weaving.
12:15 - 12:45: Closing circle.
12:45 - 1pm: We clean up together and close around 1pm.

Friends, as the world continues to feel increasingly fractured and fragile, we need community more than ever. Our intention with this little gathering is simple: bring like-minded community weavers together. If you bring people together around a shared purpose, this is for you. If you’re creating, running, managing, leading or otherwise supporting communities, this is for you.
The brunch will be an informal opportunity to get to know each other and explore shared practices. This informal gathering was also inspired by the Portuguese translation of the Community Weaving Framework, translated by Flávia and Yasmin, and co-created by Fabian.
About the co-hosts:
Flávia Barbosa: Flávia é consultora, facilitadora e designer de experiências apaixonada por criar espaços que fortalecem conexões e comunidades. Ela também é uma das idealizadoras do CHAMA Coletivo, onde une a autogestão e o “tecer comunidades” para repensar as relações no trabalho. Formada em Antropologia Cultural, traz uma perspectiva sociocultural e um olhar atento às relações de poder para seus projetos em diferentes setores e contextos organizacionais. Fora do trabalho, ela corre (de forma amadora), gosta de conversar sobre processos psicanalíticos e de planejar viagens pela América Latina.
Yasmin Morais: Yasmin é uma pessoa cuír/queer e bi/pansexual. Entende o “tecer comunidades” como uma parte importante do seu trabalho e da sua vida. Ao longo de sua jornada, apoiou comunidades de juventudes que realizam projetos sociais em todo o mundo. Atualmente, trabalha com uma rede de fundos comunitários e fundos para justiça socioambiental no Brasil. Ela é formada em Relações Internacionais e tem mestrado em Poder, Participação e Mudança Social. Yas também é poeta, yogini e cuida de um gatinho chamado Chico.
Fabian Pfortmüller: Fabian is co-founder of Together Institute, co-author of the Community Weaving Framework (see the Portuguese version here) and co-creator of the Wasan Network. Fabian is currently visiting Brazil and deeply inspired by Brazilian community weavers.
