

NYC Agent-a-thon for the Environment
Join students, public-sector agencies, environmental organizations, and technology partners across New York to build environmental intelligence tools that support decision-making around sustainability initiatives!
Participants will work with real environmental datasets and agency-informed challenges to develop dashboards, APIs, GIS applications, and AI workflows that improve access to environmental information and support planning, monitoring, and public engagement.
This event is designed to create practical learning opportunities for participants through project tracks centered around AI agents, data visualizations, and open-source architecture. Some example project builds:
AI agents for managing environmental risks
Tools for monitoring watershed health
Reporting tools and infrastructure that support public sector agencies and initiatives
