Field Notes 01: an automotive listening session

​Field Notes 01 is our first installment of a vinyl listening series led by industry selectors and their approach to record curation.

​Freakout Spot’s Rob Davis explores German experimental music of the 1970s and 1980s—krautrock, Kosmische, and ambient. Playing selections from Ash Ra Tempel and Manuel Göttsching, Kraftwerk, Agitation Free, Klaus Schulze, and others, Davis will walk listeners through a pioneering era in postwar West German expression.

• ​The program runs approximately 90 minutes.

• ​Hi-Fi system by House Under Magic.

• ​Period-correct cars from the same era will be on display.

• ​Vinyl stocked by Freakout Spot will be available for purchase.

​Tickets are limited as the program will be intimate. Car Part Time members will receive a code for complimentary tickets. Doors close promptly at 7:00 PM and the program will begin immediately. Out of respect for the program and guests, we ask that conversation be kept to a minimum during the listening.
