About Event

We can't wait for you to join us for our second MYCO since 2024!

MYCO: Metamorphosis is our 2026 celebration of movement-building, career-building, and a moment for pause, play, inspiration, and restoration. But we know we've got to go deeper into what needs to be shed in our purposeful pursuit of life, career, and communities that thrive.

Join us for workshops and panels from local and global climate justice and sustainability leaders. Hear from leaders from Genspace, Coach, Bronx Tech Hub, The Guggenheim, American Indian Community House, BLIS Collective, and more. We introduce and build on environmental justice as more than a movement, but a critical path for protecting people and the planet by pursuing the need for reparations, a just transition, and an equitable economy and workforce. And of course, join in some fun, creativity, and rest!

Please make sure to add a ticket for all programming you will be joining at check-out. FREE Panels + Reception. Sliding scale workshop tickets $5-20. Oh we have a pretty sweet raffle to support Global Shapers Brooklyn's portfolio of Climate justice and equity projects.

11:30a - 3:00p METAMORPHOSIS (Workshops)

  • 11:30a-1p: There's No Such Thing As Seeing Alone: A Worldbuilding facilitated by Artist Zella Vanie

    • This workshop invites you to use the body as a portal of worldbuilding. Through soundscapes, qigong practices, somatic expression, and creative prompts, we will explore connections between the past, present, and emergent. For this workshop, no previous experience is necessary, though comfortable clothing is ideal. “There is nothing new under the sun, but there are new suns.” — Octavia Butler, Parable of the Sower

  • 1:30 - 3p: Funding the Future facilitated by Androniki Lagos and David DeVaughn

    • A just transition requires us to rethink how we resource our initiatives and movement work. Join us for an interactive session to surface new relationships and approaches to funding a new future. Whether you have secured all the resources you need, or are just beginning to think about financial support, this is an opportunity to build a solidarity network around funding the transformation we seek.
