PATCH 003: Projection Mapping Lab

​Most places teach design and code as two separate subjects. Projection mapping is where that falls apart — the visual is the code, and the code is the visual. That is the whole point of this Lab.

​You will write p5.js in your browser, and by the end of the night your work goes up on a real surface through a real projector. Everyone starts from the same template. No two results look the same.

​You leave with a folder on your own machine, holding a sketch you changed yourself, that you can open again tomorrow without us in the room.

​No experience needed. Never written a line of code? You will be fine. Written plenty? There is room to push it.

​Bring your own laptop — you need one to build, and the point is that you take the work home with you. If your laptop only has USB-C ports, bring a USB-C to HDMI adapter if you own one.

​Pizza and drinks are provided. Tell us about dietary restrictions when you register.

​18 and over. Under 18 is welcome with a parent or guardian.

​We photograph and film our events. You choose when you register, and you can change your mind at the door.
