About Event

Hey all! We are partnering with a giant in the NYC environmental/re-wilding space, Billion Oyster Project! (https://www.billionoysterproject.org/)

Mulchers will join the BOP team for a morning of work at the shell pile on Governors Island (that funny one south of South Street Seaport.) Please bring clothes that can get dirty, water (or a water bottle to fill), and a lunch if you'd like to pack your own (we will break for lunch from 12pm-1pm, there are also vendors selling food on island.). Sunscreen, gloves, and any other PPE required for the day will be provided.

Meet Ian (that's me!) at 10 South St Slip 7, New York, NY 10004 to take the FREE ferry over to Governors Island. We'll saunter over to the volunteer site, get a great breakdown of the importance of oysters to New York's waterways, and then get our hands dirty.
