SME Action for the Net Zero Transition: Global Insights & Enablers

​Join senior leaders from finance, policy, business, and technology in São Paulo for a high-level conversation on how SMEs can be mobilised to deliver against net zero transition goals. With Scope 3 and financed emissions representing the largest share of corporate and financial sector footprints, the challenge is clear: how do we engage thousands of SMEs in ways that are practical, scalable, and impactful?

​This event will explore the key enablers that make SME action possible, from trusted data, automation, and AI-driven insights to sustainable finance and supply chain incentives. Building on the UK’s Voluntary Emissions Standard, which reduces barriers to SME reporting, the program will showcase how these approaches can scale internationally, with insights from the UK, Brazil, Australia, and beyond.

• ​3:00–5:00 PM: High-level panel and dialogue with senior voices from finance, policy, business, and technology. Discussions will focus on how banks, corporates, and policymakers can integrate SMEs into transition delivery plans, unlock green finance, and leverage policy and market incentives to scale SME participation.

• ​5:00–7:00 PM: Networking reception with three short keynote reflections highlighting lessons from the panel and actionable priorities for SMEs ahead of COP30.
