Policy alignment for high-integrity carbon markets: what’s next in the policy arena?
This session explores how coherent and enabling policy environments underpin high-integrity carbon markets and durable finance. It highlights how alignment between global frameworks and national systems can accelerate private-sector investment, reduce risk, and expand access to climate finance for nature-based and jurisdictional approaches.
Governments are now aligning on how business should use high-integrity credits, clarity that can unlock capital, move faster, and reward quality. We will reference the Coalition’s Shared Principles and Plan of Action as a concrete pathway for national alignment and demand signals.
