Nagoya University’s Transnational Doctoral Programs in Cambodia: Academic Research in International Development
Introduction
Nagoya University Cambodia Center, the Asian Satellite Campuses Institute (ASCI), and the Graduate School of International Development (GSID) of Nagoya University are convening an event titled “Nagoya University’s Transnational Doctoral Programs in Cambodia: Academic Research in International Development”.
Objectives
This event provides a platform to introduce the Transnational Doctoral Programs for Leading Professionals in Asian Countries (Transnational Doctoral Programs) of ASCI, which provides an opportunity for professionals primarily in government positions, and academic institutions, regardless of their ages, to earn a doctoral degree through Nagoya University without having to take time out from their career and family. Successfully admitted students will be fully exempted from admission fees and tuition fees for the standard duration of the Program. The event will be featuring:
1. Guidance on application process and its preparation in the ASCI Transnational Doctoral Program at GSID, including prior consultation with academic supervisor at GSID, which may lead to a successful admission.
2. A rare special opportunity to get insight to research interest and activity of our respective potential academic supervisor at GSID through specific presentations on recent and ongoing academic reseach topics in the field of international development.

Participation and Registration
The event is mainly open to senior officials of government, faculty members of universities, senior staff of international organizations, or individuals serving in equivalent leading positions in Cambodia who hold master’s degrees in international development or related fields. Individual who are purely interested in studying in Japan or Nagoya University or the presentation topics and willing to get more insight are also warmly welcome.
