[COP30 Event] New Report: Mutirão Solidário for Equitable Climate Finance
Dear friends,
We are pleased to announce that the "Mutirão Solidário for Equitable Climate Finance", new report by Equal Right and Instituto AYA, with support from the Open Society Foundations, is now live on our website. And best yet, we are launching it during COP30 - and you're invited!
Drawing on Brazil’s leadership in social innovation and the solidarity economy, the Mutirão Solidário proposes practical steps toward a new model of climate finance - one that is redistributive and locally driven, placing equity and human rights at its core.
Now we want to hear you: as a close partner of Equal Right, we encourage you to read the Report and share your thoughts and recommendations on this Zero Draft report. This is the beginning of a broader South-South led initiative to reshape climate finance discussions, and we want you to come along with us!
To mark the publication, we also invite those of you who will be in Belém to join us for the a special event during COP30, where we are discussing how Brazil’s experience can inspire a solidarity-based climate finance architecture for the Global South.
Date:18th November (Tuesday)
Time:10:00am - 11:00am
Location:Open Society Pavillion, Blue Zone
We would be delighted to have you with us to celebrate this milestone and to engage in dialogue on how equitable, community-centered finance can drive a just transition.
