Thawing the Seattle Freeze: We're Better Together | Seattle Tech Forum
Grab your lunch and join us on Zoom for a virtual lunch session!
The Seattle Freeze is the running joke — but it's also real, and in a year when work feels uncertain, layoffs come in waves, and AI is changing the shape of careers, real community matters more than it has in a long time. The algorithm isn't going to find your people for you. The team Slack channel won't replace what a real community gives you. And the question of who you can call when work gets hard, or when you're trying to figure out what to do next, isn't one you want to be answering the day you actually need the answer.
The leaders running Seattle Tech Forum's event calendar do this work every month. This session — the closer of STF's Seattle Tech Week 2026 programming — brings them into the same conversation: group hosts for job seekers, working dads, women in tech, product managers and rising leaders. They'll talk about what's working, what kinds of community actually stick, and what they've learned about making real connection happen in a city that's famously hard to break into.
New to STF? Come find your people. Been around? Come hear how the work has evolved.
