People Resilience through Renewables
Welcome to the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) Interactive Booth!
IESR's interactive booth, which will focus on "People Resilience through Renewables," is designed to introduce and highlight the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) as a Southeast Asian climate and energy think tank, its flagship knowledge products, and its creative approaches to public engagement.
The booth will display photo series of communities in Indonesia such as People in Gunung Halu, West Java is utilizing hydropower to fuel coffee roastery, and how communities in Bali is utilizing solar power and biogas to boost their economic activity. We'll show that people are #WinningWithRenewables.
Interactive games and thought-provoking publication displays also available.
This is a space to network, exchange ideas, share experiences, and inspire collective action. IESR staff will be present throughout, guiding visitors through the booth, engaging them in conversations, and sharing insights from IESR’s knowledge products.
In parallel, the wishing tree installation will also serve as a channel to gather public perspectives—capturing what people expect and want from leaders in addressing the climate crisis. As IESR continues to provide robust, evidence-based knowledge, this dialogue will help ensure that people’s concerns are translated into structured, impactful messages for decision-makers.
This booth is free of charge, and everyone is welcome to come and chat with us!
