San Diego Climate Week: The Threads Between Us film premiere, Seeding Change screening, and mixer
The San Diego story goes beyond great beaches, perfect weather, delicious craft beer and tacos. It’s a story about sustainability, community, and connection — about building a better future.
Join us on October 5 as we celebrate the inaugural San Diego Climate Week at Coastal Roots Farm in Encinitas, CA, with the premiere of The Threads Between Us. Produced by local sustainability agency thinkPARALLAX, the film explores the connections that weave San Diego’s sustainable business community together — from Dr. Bronner’s to Jimbo’s Naturally to Goodwill Industries of San Diego County.
The program also includes films from Barrio Logan sewing shop Sew Loka and Kiss the Ground.
Speakers include Abraham Chen (B Local San Diego), Evan Harrison (Kiss the Ground), and Claudia Rodriguez-Biezunski (Sew Loka).
The event will also include live silk screen printing on Goodwill t-shirts, speakers, refreshments, and live music.
4:30-6:15 p.m.: Business Showcase and Mixer - With live music from Wild Caravan, enjoy tapas and drinks while connecting with local sustainable business leaders.
6:15-8:00 p.m.: Sustainable business speakers and short films, including the premiere of The Threads Between Us. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and discover the stories of businesses like Dr. Bronner’s, Jimbo’s Naturally, and San Diego Goodwill, Sew Loka, and more. Learn from local representatives who are revolutionizing business to be a force for good.
