About Event

The SWPA Chapter of the Climate Reality Project is delighted to welcome Climate Reality Project Board Member & former Chapter Co-Chair Larry Schweiger to discuss his new book Fighting for the Future of Nature: Inside a struggle to keep the Wild Alive. Amidst the dark federal dismantling of climate progress and statewide rollout of fracking infrastructure, this book brims with stories of PA leaders who fought hard for the environmental protections we have today, such as Pennsylvania's Constitutional Green Amendment and our state park system.

We face a pivotal election on Nov 3 & this book is a reminder that we are not alone in our determination to care for each other and our planet. Joy, community, and agency are antidotes for despair - we'll have all three!

Come join us on October 15th! Friends welcome.
