Costumed Life Drawing @ Abbeydale Ballroom

​Join us for an evening of costumed life drawing at Abbeydale Ballroom, the beautiful newly renovated basement bar of the old picture house.

With thoughtful lighting and a relaxed creative atmosphere, each month will feature a different theme for us to get inspired and draw ✨

This month we'll be joined by Artos Munitorum with a model posing in full medieval armour🛡️⚔️

The bar will be open for you to purchase food and drink during the evening, including pizza by the slice from the basement kitchen 🍕

Drawing materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own sketchbook, pencils etc.

• ​Please keep conversation to a minimum during poses and be mindful of conversational topics that may make those around you, or the models uncomfortable

• ​Always respect the privacy of the models, avoid asking them to disclose any personal information

• ​Avoid eating during the poses

~ There is no on-site parking or step-free access at the venue

Do I need drawing experience?
~ No experience needed whatsoever! These sessions welcome anyone to come and relax and draw.

But drawing clothes is hard right?
~ It can be challenging but it doesn't have to be! Just have fun and let loose, you can keep things gestural or experiment. There are no rules.
