Whether hacking on Bitcoin Lightning, developing open-source tools, or launching your next startup, this is your space to build in public, connect with peers, and get real-time feedback from a community of open-source creators.

Every month, expect Austin-style hospitality featuring homestyle food prepared by a local chef, cold drinks, and vibrant conversations with fellow hackers, builders, and founders dedicated to pushing bitcoin innovation forward in Austin.

This Month’s Builder Focus: Soru Kumar

Soru will share current work on Bitcoin Data Labs, including a deep dive into:

Open-source Bitcoin and Lightning data infrastructure

He is building tools, dashboards, and datasets that make the Bitcoin ecosystem easier to understand, analyze, and build on. Bitcoin Data Labs focuses on live Bitcoin and Lightning data, on-chain metrics, mining pool analytics, developer activity, and Lightning Network visualization.

Soru is looking for practical feedback from builders, analysts, and engineers on:

• What Bitcoin and Lightning data is hardest to access today

• Which dashboards or metrics would be most useful for founders and developers

• How builders would use open APIs and structured datasets

• UX tradeoffs for making complex Bitcoin data easier to understand

• What data tools the community wants Bitcoin Data Labs to prioritize next

Topics on the table include:

• Lightning Network graph visualization

• Lightning node profiles and ranking methods

• Mining pool profiling and analytics

• Bitcoin developer contribution tracking

• On-chain metrics and network stats

• Drag-and-drop dashboard creation

• Open APIs for Bitcoin and Lightning datasets

• Making Bitcoin data more visual, useful, and “Bitcoinful” for everyone

Meet friends as everyone pours in and gets settled before the main event. Homestyle food and cold drinks will be provided by Chef Johnny Ochoa. Eat, drink, and enjoy while catching some Hack & Tell updates from local builders.

Builder Presentation: 7:00 – 8:15 PM

We’ll wrap with open Q&A and a full room discussion where you can ask about your own product, pitch, or strategy.
