Sports Analytics Workshop: Learn How to Predict Sports Game Results!

​Join us for an exciting, hands-on workshop on sports analytics and predictive modeling, featuring renowned expert Dr. Robert Kissell.

​This interactive workshop introduces everyone to the real-world process of predicting sports outcomes using data analytics. Participants will explore the full analytics pipeline, from understanding and cleaning raw sports data to building and testing predictive models, and learn how these skills apply across sports, finance, and technology industries.

​The workshop also prepares for an upcoming Kaggle sports prediction competition on March 31st, 2026, in which teams from universities across New York will compete. The winner will receive a Summer 2026 internship and additional prizes.

Dr. Robert Kissell, founder of the Kissell Research Group, is a leading authority in quantitative modeling with over 20 years of experience in algorithmic trading, portfolio management, and predictive analytics. He has held executive roles at UBS, JP Morgan, and Citigroup, taught at Fordham University and Cornell University, and authored industry-defining books, including Optimal Trading Strategies and The Science of Algorithmic Trading & Portfolio Management.
