🌊 Walking Tour From the Future: Adapting Our Waterfronts
What if you could walk along San Francisco’s original shoreline—the one that existed before the city was built out into the Bay?
What if you could see how our coastlines have changed, and imagine how they could transform again as we face rising seas and a changing climate?
Join us for Adapting Waterfronts, an interactive AR walking tour through San Francisco’s historic downtown that explores how the city’s edge has evolved, and how design, technology, and imagination can help us re-envision its future.
Through 8 augmented-reality installations, you’ll uncover hidden histories beneath your feet, visualize speculative futures, and reflect on how cities can adapt creatively and equitably to the challenges of climate change.
This is more than a walk—it’s an experience that connects past, present, and future San Francisco. Come curious, come ready to imagine, and come see the waterfront like you’ve never seen it before.
